Free for farriers, equine vets, physios and dentists
Your diary spans a dozen yards, and every one of them keeps its records differently. On Horsepower, practitioners have their own free account: every yard that uses Horsepower and works with you shows up in one view, and the horses you shoe or treat have their history and next due date updated when you tick them off.
What practitioners use most
- All your yards in one view — Horses from every yard you work with, grouped by yard, and your visits from all of them on one calendar.
- Tick horses off a round — On a farrier, vet, dentist or physio visit with several horses, tick each one as it's done. It goes on that horse's treatment history and its next due date moves on.
- Get found by yards — List yourself in the practitioner directory with the area you cover. Yards nearby see what you do and a rough distance — never your address.
- Join a yard with a link — Send a yard a join link, or ask by email. The yard's owner says yes and you're in, with a message thread to them.
- Free for practitioners — Practitioner accounts cost nothing. Each yard pays for its own plan; you don’t pay to work with them.

What it doesn't do
Horsepower isn't practice management software: it doesn't do clinical notes, prescribing, stock control for a practice or your invoicing. It's where the yard's records and your visits meet.

Do practitioners pay?
No. Practitioner accounts are free. Yards pay for their own plan.
Can yards see where I live?
No. The directory shows your name, photo, what you do and a rough distance. A yard that adds you sees your email and phone, never your address.
What if a yard doesn't use Horsepower?
Ask it to join from your profile. The owner gets an email to get started, and once they're on you'll see their horses.
