Enter your horse's equine influenza vaccination dates to check the primary course and boosters against the rules of the body you compete under, and see when the next one is due. Pick FEI, British Equestrian disciplines, USEF, racing (6-monthly boosters) or a basic annual schedule; the tool starts from your country. Add each booster, and optionally a competition arrival date.
Under most competition rules, a missed primary interval or a lapsed annual booster usually means restarting the primary course. Your vet can tell you what your horse needs.
National federations, racing authorities and individual shows set their own requirements, and they change. Confirm against the current rules of the body you compete under. Every vaccination must be recorded in the horse's passport, signed and stamped by the vet.
The second primary vaccination is given 21 to 92 days after the first, and the third within 7 months of the second.
Under FEI rules a horse needs a vaccination within 6 months + 21 days before arriving at the competition, and none in the 7 days before arrival. USEF requires flu and EHV-1/4 vaccination within 6 months, and racing authorities require boosters at most 6 months apart. Check the current rules of the body you compete under.
