Terms of service

1. The service

Horsepower is a web and mobile application for managing horse yards, fields, treatments, vehicles, visits and the people running your yard. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 to hold an account in your own right, provide an accurate email, and keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account and the data you put into it. Children never sign up themselves: a child appears only where a parent or guardian has added them to a family group, consents on their behalf, and supervises the profile. You can close your account at any time from your profile; your data is removed within 30 days.

3. Subscriptions and payments

Free, Pro and Max plans are listed at /plans. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly via Stripe. Cancel any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; we don't refund partial periods.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Horsepower to break the law, harass people, host illegal content, or attempt to compromise the service or other users' data. Horsepower is not a social network: there are no public profiles, no discovery, and no way to find or contact a stranger. Everything you post is visible only to the yard, family group or named individuals you shared it with.

5. Photos, video and messages: what may be posted

Photos, video and messages must be about horses and yard activity — horses and other animals, yards, fields, tack, vehicles, treatments, transport, competitions, training and riding. Never upload any nude, intimate, sexual or sexualised image of anybody; any image that sexualises a child; anything taken where a person would expect privacy, or taken covertly; or content that bullies, harasses or humiliates someone. Before posting a photo in which another person is identifiable you must have their permission — and if they are under 18, their parent's or guardian's permission. Report anything that breaks these rules to support@worldweaver.com.

6. Our right to examine and remove content

We do not pre-screen content and do not routinely monitor it. We expressly reserve the right, and you grant us permission, to access, view, copy, retain, restrict and permanently delete any content in the service — photos, video, messages, diary entries and files — at any time and without prior notice, where we reasonably consider it necessary to investigate a report, check compliance with these terms, protect a person and in particular a child, comply with the law or a request from the police, or keep the service secure. Any indecent image of a child is preserved and reported to the police, the National Crime Agency and/or the Internet Watch Foundation, and the account is closed immediately and permanently. Separately, the owner and admins of a yard can see and remove content posted into that yard, including its group chats, so they can keep it to horse-related matters.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store and process your data to operate the service. See the privacy policy for details.

8. Service availability, changes, and closing down

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may schedule maintenance or change features. We'll tell you in advance about anything materially reducing what your subscription gives you.

If we ever withdraw Horsepower we will email every account holder at least 60 days beforehand, keep the service running and readable throughout so you can retrieve your records, provide a copy of your data on request, stop taking new subscriptions and cancel renewals from the day we announce it, and refund pro rata the unused part of any subscription already paid beyond the closing date. The "no refund for partial periods" rule covers you choosing to cancel; it does not apply when the ending is our decision. If the business is sold or reorganised the service, these terms and your data may transfer to a successor. Where an ending is forced on us by insolvency or administration, that notice becomes as much as is actually possible and refunds become a claim in that process rather than a promise we can make here.

9. Liability

Horsepower is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law our liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Where reasonable we'll give you a chance to fix the issue first.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally; the "Effective" date reflects the current version. We'll notify you of material changes by email.
